Pepper

D.O.B: June 13, 1997

Biography: Pepper was on tour with the RCMP Musical Ride for 1 year. When on tour he performed with the RCMP Musical Ride in many Canadian provinces.  He served his country well. The RCMP Musical Ride retired Pepper in 2005 at an early age due to minor health issues. Pepper now lives at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Height: 16 1/2 hands

Disposition: Pepper is a sweetheart.  He loves attention!

Favorite activities: Getting groomed and meeting people

Favorite treat: Horse Krunch, apples, carrots

Quirky fact: Pepper loves to hold things in his mouth. Place a broom handle in his mouth and  he will clean the floor. You can rub the corners of his mouth to make him smile!

 

Salute

D.O.B: April 12, 1999

Biography: Salute spent his first 3 years on the RCMP horse breaking farm in Pakenham, Ontario.  He started his training in July 2002.  Salute served as a staff horse from 2002 to 2004.  He served on the RCMP Musical Ride for two years, from 2005 to 2006. Salute then took equitation training to become the charger of the Officer in Charge of the Musical Ride Branch until he came to Regina in July 2008.  Salute now lives at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Height: 17 hands

Disposition: Kind and gentle soul, loves people, regal

Favorite activities: Searching your pockets for treats and watching the other horses clown around, giving out hugs.

Favorite Treat: He likes his ration best but also appreciates Horse Krunch, apples and carrots once in a while.

Quirky fact: When Salute gets his hooves trimmed he plays with the farrier's hair, jacket, hat or anything he can get his mouth on in hopes of finding a treat.

 

Falcon

D.O.B: June 11, 1987

Biography: Falcon was on tour with the RCMP Musical Ride for 10 years. When on tour he performed with the RCMP Musical Ride in many Canadian provinces as well as in Europe and the USA. He served his country very well. He was and still is an outstanding mount for the RCMP.  The RCMP Musical Ride retired Falcon in 2003.  Falcon now lives at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Height: 16 hands

Disposition: He is sweet, kind, steady and reliable.

Favorite activities:  Sticking out his tongue at you to get a treat.  First he will lick your hand then take the treat.

Favorite snack: Falcon loves to chomp on Horse Krunch!

Quirky fact: Falcon shows the other horses how things are done.
