How long is a typical visit to the Heritage Centre?
If you plan on having your class participate in an educational program we recommend alloting 3 hours for your visit. If you wish to tour the Heritage Centre with your class independently 2 hours is likely sufficient.

Do I have to make a reservation/booking to visit?
To receive our educational rate you must make a booking at least 2 weeks in advance. Anyone is welcome to visit during regular open hours, but without a booking standard admission fees must be paid.

How many chaperones should accompany my class?
It is mandatory that there is 1 chaperone for every 10 students; however we recommend a 1 to 5 ratio, which is why the Heritage Centre offers 1 complimentary chaperone pass for every 5 students.

Is there somewhere we can eat our lunches at the Heritage Centre?
If your class would like to bring their own lunches or snacks we can arrange an area for your class to eat. Unfortunately we do not offer onsite food services.

We want to visit as a class but not participate in an educational program, is this possible?
Yes, you will still need to make a booking but would not be charged the educational programming fee. The Scavenger Hunt and I Spy game are self-run programs available for teachers to experience with their students.

How much does it cost to visit the Heritage Centre?
Children ages 3-5 gain free entry without a program or cost $3/child with an educational program.
Children ages 6-12 cost $3/child for admission to the Centre, and an additional $3/child with an educational program.
Youth ages 13-17 cost $5/youth for admission to the Centre, and an additional $3/youth with an educational program.

Why is there a programming fee?
To help cover the cost of materials, consumables and labour the Heritage Centre charges $3.00/student for educational programming.

How do I make a booking?
If you're ready to make a booking please contact the Heritage Centre by email or telephone (306-522-7333). After reviewing our School Booking Policies and Procedures document, you will be asked to complete a School Booking Contract. Once we receive your completed document we will send a Booking Confirmation, and then your visit is officially booked!
